GTI W12

A few years back, VW got a chance to build a special GTI. It was kind of a mosaic of the parts of many of their performance brands. They put together, ehat they called, the GTI W12. Sporting a 12 cylinder twin turbocharged engine, this 640 hp Golf is definitely unique!

Eat the Road! No, Seriously, Eat It.....

So VW has come up with a new advertising scheme that sounds pretty interesting. How do you show everybody that the new Golf R can eat up the road? Well, how about making an edible stretch of road for customers to eat? Done. In South Africa's Auto Trader magazine, customers will find an advertisement challenging them to eat up the road like the Golf R does. This particular road is made from glutinous rice flour, water, salt, propylene glycol, FD&C colour, and glycerine; making this the easiest road to chew we've ever seen. However, the Golf R seems to think asphalt roads are just as easy to chew. Mmmm.... Asphalt.....

Golf Cabriolet Concept

Voklswagen has released a concept of what may evolve into a new Cabriolet, eventually. The car is built on a Golf platform, and sports the 265 hp, 2.0T currently in use in the Golf R, the fastest Golf ever produced. VW claims a top speed of 155 mph, and a 0-60 in less than 6 seconds. My Fast just did a backflip. In addition to obvious performance cosmetics on the exterior, the car sports a Golf R interior, a sport suspension, and some big old 19" alloys. Can't wait to see if this new soft-top will ever hit the streets!

Dub Collecter

How many of us have dreamed of having a car collection? If we did have one, what kinds of cars would we have? Well, I'd start with a Porsche Carrera GT, the VW Nardo Concept, and of course, the Lamborghini LP 670. But, what about if they were all Golfs? What if they were all really fast Golfs? Okay, so we all know that the 2012 Golf R is the fastest production Golf VW has ever released. It definitely satisfies the dub lovers out there with heavy feet.
