The Mark VII Golf body has been unveiled, and everybody is smiling. Flaunting the original bold lines expected from a GTI, mixed with a touch of refinement reminiscent of Audi's A3, this release provides for an agressive and classy new version of Volkswagen's original hot hatch. The car will sit on an entirely new chassis (now designed to be flexible enough for most of VW and Audi's fleet to use) with new wheels, but will keep some of the GTI's original styling cues. The classic red line in the grill will not extend into the headlight housings, providing a more flowing front-end, and characteristic to VW's new theme.
